TOOLING PROJECT (FLORA/FAUNA) MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND ,,,
This project is achieved by drawing images onto a surface of copper colored tooling aluminum foil. (38 gauge)
After the image is drawn, the image is created by piercing the surface with multiple dots. A needle tool is used to achieve the piercings.
Concentrated dots will create shadows. When completed a thin layer of acrylic paint is applied and the excess removed with steel wool. The steel wool also helps to create a patina on the surface of the project.
Tooling is used in jewelry, jewelry boxes, ornamented doors (Southwest/Mexico/Spain)
